Key qualifications

• Coordinator of the national public sector’s nuclear waste management research programme during PhaseI, II and III (1989-93; 1994-96 & 1997-2001). Besides VTT Processes, other research institutes of VTT and Geological Survey of Finland as well as several Finnish Universities participated in the research programme.
• Leading national expert on simulation of the environmental impacts of nuclear power production as well as comparative studies of environmental effects of energy production.
• Long-term experience in risk analyses for the safety of nuclear reactors and transportation and interim storage of spent fuel.
• Responsible Manager of the Finnish Triga Research Reactor FiR1 2002.
