The industry success undoubtedly relies on the appropriate operation of nuclear facilities and proper radioactive material management. For more than a quarter of a century, the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC NRS) has been working to ensure the safe operation of nuclear facilities, management of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste and decommissioning of nuclear facilities.

On 10 July 2019, symbolic key delivery took place at the ChNPP: transfer of the New Safe Confinement (NSC) from the Novarka Company, the general contractor of the construction project, to the customer, the State Specialized Enterprise ‘Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant’ (ChNPP).

SSTC NRS and GRS Signed Work Program for Current Year

Representatives of the German Society for Reactor Safety (GRS) visited Ukraine. They took part in a number of meetings and workshops on common bilateral projects with the State Scientific and Technical Center for Nuclear and Radiation Safety (SSTC NRS), discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation and signed the Work Program of Cooperation between SSTC NRS and GRS for 2019.
